Granola can be a healthy choice for snacking as well as breakfast. There are various interesting ways to serve granola for breakfast.
Fruits and yogurt with Granola, Chia soaked milk of your choice with fruits and Granola, Banana Ice cream and granola or even just plain milk.
I never buy granola and I like to make it as I please.
Any choice of nuts and dried fruits can be used .
In this recipe, I have used honey as the sweetener.
It can be replaced with brown sugar, jaggery powder or coconut sugar.

Similarly, one can substitute coconut oil for melted butter or even ghee for a nuttier flavour.
Rolled Oats is the most common grain used in granola. One can also use puffed Amarnath seeds or even wheat puffs.
The ratio for a good granola is 3 :2:1:1 of Oats (grain), Nuts, Dried fruits, fat & sweetener combined. That is, 6 parts dry to 1 part wet.
One can also add in dried apples, cinnamon, raw cacao, chocolate chips or even cocoa powder. Choose the flavours that work together best.
Ingredients :
3 Cups Rolled oats
2 cup Nuts and seeds( Almonds, Pecans and Pumpkin seeds )
1 Cup Dried fruits (Dried Apricots and Golden raisin
1/2 cup Melted butter
1/2 Cup Honey
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions:
Preheat Oven to 350F or 180 C
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey , vanilla extract and salt.
Add in rolled oats and nuts . Mix well until the honey-butter mixture is well combined
In a baking tray, spread the granola mixture evenly.
Bake for in the middle rack of the oven, stirring every 15 mins for 30 - 40 minutes or until it smells toasty and dry.
Cool the granola completely before storing in a air tight container.
